Jess Knights is a Calgary-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter whose music blends soul, roots, blues, and a touch of country into something distinctly her own. An opera-trained vocalist with a warm, expressive voice, Knights brings a soulful intimacy and timeless feel to everything she sings.

Her 2020 album Best Kind of Light, produced by Joshua Van Tassel, earned national attention, including a CKUA Top 100 placement and recognition as a Great Dark Wonder Breakthrough Solo Artist. In 2025, she released the soulful single “I Know That I Love You,” a collaboration with pianist and producer Robbie Grunwald.

Knights returns in 2026 with Songs for a Winter’s Night, a collaborative holiday recording with Grunwald featuring reimagined seasonal favourites and an original song, “Summer Kiss in the Snow.” Warm, nostalgic, and soulful, the release captures Knights’ gift for making familiar songs feel fresh while creating space for the bittersweet beauty of the season.
